Overview
We are looking for an experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our team in Julington Creek, Florida. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual with a strong background in managing financial records and transactions. The position requires proficiency in AR/AP, Balance Sheet Reconciliations and Debits and Credits with a solid understanding of GAAP principles.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor aspects of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial records.
- Utilize the accounting software to record, track, and report financial data effectively.
- Prepare and review property accounting reports in compliance with GAAP standards.
- Conduct account reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Monitor and manage bank account transactions for accuracy and completeness.
- Generate detailed financial reports and analyses to support decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with US GAAP accounting principles in all financial activities.
- Collaborate with team members to streamline bookkeeping processes and improve efficiency.
- Assist in onboarding new accounts and Homeowner and Condo Associations.
- Build a set of books from previous management records.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in full charge bookkeeping.
- Proficiency in Accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes.
- Experience with monthly bank reconciliations and account reconciliations.
- In-depth knowledge of GAAP accounting standards and principles.
- Familiarity with HOA property accounting practices is preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in the position.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper or similar role with a strong background in corporate or non-profit accounting
- Proficiency in accounting software such as ther relevant platforms
- Solid understanding of GAAP principles, double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, journal entries, and general ledger accounting
- Experience with governmental accounting standards preferred for non-profit organizations
- Strong knowledge of bank reconciliation processes, account reconciliation techniques, and financial report writing
- Familiarity with Association Management Software is required.
- Familiarity with (TOPS / Enumerate / Vantaca) is a plus but not required.
- Ability to perform complex account analysis and account reconciliation efficiently
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks accurately under deadlines
- Strong communication skills for preparing clear financial reports and collaborating with team members
