Maintenance Mechanic/Technician –

Afternoon Shift (I.e., Monday- Friday, 11:00am – 7:00pm; Alternate Saturdays as Scheduled)
Location: Richmond, VA
Pay Range: $30–$40/hour (commensurate with experience)

As we continue to grow, we are seeking a skilled and motivated Maintenance Technician to join our team on afternoon shift.

Position Summary

We are looking for a hands-on Maintenance Technician who will be responsible for maintaining and improving the performance of our automated packaging equipment and facility infrastructure. This role is crucial to keeping our operations running smoothly and efficiently, especially during high-volume production.

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot mechanical issues on packaging equipment and resolve them in a timely manner.
• Facilitate quick and efficient changeovers between SKUs on automated machinery.
• Perform and document preventive maintenance tasks to minimize downtime.
• Support production teams by leading cross-functional maintenance efforts.
• Maintain compliance with all safety standards, good manufacturing practices, and BRCGS certification requirements.
• Assist in inventory management and equipment part tracking.
• Follow standard operating procedures and participate in ongoing improvement initiatives.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience: 3–5 years of hands-on maintenance experience in automated packaging environments.
• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Certifications (Ideal): Electrical, Mechanical, Machinist, or Millwright certification; Forklift certified.
• Technical Skills:
  • Familiarity with PLC systems
  • Welding and sheet metal fabrication
  • Pneumatics and Machining knowledge
• Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
  • Work in hot/cold or humid environments
  • Comfortable working at heights up to 30’
