Job description
Total Orthopedics and Sports Medicine is a multi-office provider of musculoskeletal care. We are searching for a full time front desk receptionist for our Massapequa location. Candidate would also be required to go to or other locations, East Meadow, Deer Park and Syosset. This individual should be friendly and out going and shares the same drive we do for patient satisfaction. Candidate should be available on weekends.

Job Description:
- Meets and greets patients; announces, directs and escorts to appropriate area.
- Inputs patient information and demographics into computer system.
- Checking patient’s in/out
- Checking patient insurance eligibility
- Answers, screens and direct calls to the appropriate areas.
- Schedules patient appointments
- Performs general clerical duties including but not limited to filing, photocopying, faxing and mailing as required.
- Keeps reception area organized.
- Demonstrates a high level of professionalism in dealing with confidential and sensitive issues.
- Performs other related duties assigned by senior management.
Requirements:
- Experience in a medical office
- Knowledge of insurance companies, No Fault and Workers' Compensation
- Knowledge of EHR
- Organization and Communication Skills
- Knowledge of orthopedic spine terminology a plus
