What are the responsibilities and job description for the 1st Shift Production Associate position at Total Network Manufacturing LLC?
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITY:
Assist in assuring the safe and efficient operation of the Production Department, including adherence to production schedules and quality requirements.
JOB DUTIES:
- Perform on-the-job training as required.
- Support on going plant initiatives including 5S, TS 16949, ISO 14001, problem solving and continuous improvement.
- Perform all operations and processes in assigned work centre.
- Communicate all quality, safety and customer satisfaction issues in a timely manner.
- Perform all tasks as per Standardize Work Instructions (SWI) and perform repairs on minor quality defects as required.
- Support shift rotation schedules as required.
- Demonstrate a high level of professionalism
- Other duties as assigned.
HEALTH, SAFETY & ENVIRONMENT
- Ensure all safety and non-safety plant rules and regulations are followed.
- Ensure adherence to established quality and 5S standards.
- Respond immediately to items brought to his/her attention with respect to hazards, defects or non-compliance issues.
- Must be wiling to take action when substandard performance is observed.
- Review and adhere to TNM health and safety, environmental, and quality standards, operating procedures, policies and forms.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Three years prior working experience.
- 1 year of manufacturing/assembly.
- Automotive/manufacturing experience preferred.
- Ability to work in a face-paced environment.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- While performing the various duties of the job the employee is frequently required to stand, stoop, bend, walk, sit use hands to handle, manipulate or feel objects or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, speak and hear.
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50lbs; some jobs require continuous lifting of 50lbs
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
- Must also be able to discern various shades of color for all materials
- Must be able to use a variety of tools (ie hog ring gun, torque gun, screwdriver, mallets, etc) as required
