We’re looking for a Patient Care Coordinator / Front Office Float who brings warmth, organization, and compassion to every interaction.

Someone who doesn’t just schedule appointments, but helps keep the entire patient experience running smoothly. Someone who can answer a phone with confidence, solve a scheduling problem without getting overwhelmed, and make every patient walking through the door feel like they are in the right place.

This is a part-time position working approximately 20–25 hours per week, primarily at our Christiansburg location, with the possibility of helping provide coverage at our Radford location when needed.

Availability on Mondays and Fridays is required.

What You’ll DoPatient Scheduling & Communication

• Welcome patients warmly by phone and in person
• Schedule, confirm, and adjust patient appointments
• Answer incoming calls and respond to patient questions
• Help new patients understand the next steps for getting scheduled
• Follow up with patients regarding appointments when needed
• Help maintain a steady, organized clinic schedule

Insurance & Financial Coordination

• Verify patient insurance benefits
• Assist with obtaining insurance authorizations
• Help patients understand basic insurance and payment information
• Collect copays and other patient payments professionally
• Maintain accurate payment and insurance information

Patient Records & Data Accuracy

• Enter and update patient information accurately in the electronic medical record
• Maintain organized and complete patient records
• Help ensure required information and documentation is received and properly recorded
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when working with patient information

Front Office Operations

• Greet and check in patients
• Keep the front desk and waiting area clean, organized, and welcoming
• Monitor the daily schedule and communicate with the clinical team
• Help keep the flow of the clinic running smoothly
• Assist with additional administrative responsibilities as needed
• Provide occasional front-office coverage at our Radford location when needed

You’re a Great Fit If You:

• Have at least 1 year of experience in a medical office or strong customer-service position
• Are available to work Mondays and Fridays
• Communicate clearly, warmly, and professionally by phone and in person
• Are organized and able to manage multiple priorities throughout the day
• Are dependable and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
• Are comfortable using computers, Microsoft Office, and electronic medical record systems
• Pay close attention to details and accuracy
• Enjoy solving problems and helping people
• Bring a positive attitude to work and genuinely care about creating an excellent patient experience

Experience with medical terminology, insurance verification, authorizations, billing, or physical therapy offices is a strong plus.

What’s In It for You

Pay: 18–22 per hour

Schedule: Part-Time, approximately 20–25 hours per week

Required Availability: Mondays and Fridays

Location: Primarily our Christiansburg location, with possible coverage at our Radford location

There may also be opportunities for additional hours depending on clinic needs.

You’ll have the opportunity to work with a supportive, patient-focused team in an outpatient Physical Therapy environment where your contribution matters every day.
