Role Description This is a full-time, Mortgage Loan Officer role based in Manchester, NH. The Mortgage Loan Officer will work directly with prospective and current borrowers to guide them through the mortgage application and approval process, from initial consultation to closing. Daily responsibilities include assessing borrower needs, explaining loan products, collecting and reviewing documentation, and coordinating with underwriting and processing teams to ensure timely decisions. The role involves maintaining strong customer relationships, providing clear communication throughout the loan lifecycle, and adhering to regulatory and company guidelines. The Mortgage Loan Officer will also collaborate with local real estate professionals and internal teams to generate new business and support branch growth.
Qualifications
- Experience in the mortgage industry, including familiarity with mortgage lending products and processes.
- Background working as a Loan Officer or in a similar client-facing lending role.
- Knowledge of underwriting principles and ability to review borrower documentation for accuracy and completeness.
- Strong customer service skills, with the ability to communicate complex information clearly and professionally.
- Proven sales, relationship-building, and networking abilities within local real estate or financial communities.
- Understanding of federal and state mortgage regulations; current NMLS license or eligibility to obtain one.
- Comfort with mortgage origination software and standard office productivity tools.
- High level of integrity, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple files and deadlines.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field is preferred.
