Job Description: VDC Coordinator is an entry level position. VDC Coordinator supports the fabrication process by processing fabrication requests, creating work packages, spooling assemblies, running various reports, and ordering material for fabrication. The VDC Coordinator interacts with PM’s, PE’s, BIM team, and Fabrication Shop team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Order material for fabrication
- Package parts in Stratus
- Spool parts in Stratus
- Process field generated spools
- Update tracking statuses
- Run reports
- Print fabrication labels
- Track and report productivity
- Generate cut lists for Fabrication
- Communicate the status of work packages
- Communicate the estimated hours for work packages
- Other duties, as assigned.
Experience and Skills:
- High School Diploma
- Strong verbal and written communication to collaborate with project teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to convey technical information clearly and concisely to non-technical team members.
- Active listening and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Work effectively within a multidisciplinary team (engineers, project managers, project engineers, field and shop foremen).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Email communication and scheduling tools (e.g., Outlook)
- Familiarity with Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools such as Revit, Navisworks, or AutoCAD, and GTP STRATUS.
- Basic understanding of 3D modeling and coordination processes.
- Ability to learn new VDC software and tools quickly.
- Time management and prioritization of tasks to meet project deadlines.
- Ability to maintain organized project documentation and digital files.
- Strong multitasking skills in a fast-paced work environment.
