Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Lead HVAC Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate must have at least one year of experience working specifically as a Lead HVAC Technician, overseeing both residential and/or commercial projects. This position plays a key role in supervising field operations, ensuring quality installations, and maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and lead HVAC installation, service, and maintenance teams on job sites
  • Coordinate with project managers, dispatch, and customers to ensure timely completion of jobs
  • Perform diagnostic, troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance services on HVAC systems (residential and/or commercial)
  • Ensure all work complies with current codes, safety regulations, and company standards
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate junior technicians and apprentices
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on jobs
  • Provide clear, professional communication to customers regarding job status and technical findings
  • Oversee job site readiness, including proper materials, equipment, and staffing
  • Conduct final inspections and quality checks to ensure system performance and customer satisfaction
  • Serve as the on-site technical expert for complex HVAC systems and advanced troubleshooting
  • Monitor and enforce safety compliance among crew members
  • Assist in inventory management, ordering parts, and equipment maintenance as needed

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Lead HVAC Technician (not just as a technician or helper) Required- please do not apply if you do no have at least one year of experience as lead.
  • 1 years overall experience in the HVAC industry preferred
  • Strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems, tools, and procedures
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
  • Physically capable of lifting heavy equipment, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical/vocational training is a plus
