Total Furniture Restoration (TFR) is an Orlando-based company specializing in furniture restoration, refinishing, upholstery, and millwork, both in our shop and on-site at our clients' locations. We are a growing, bilingual team that takes pride in craftsmanship, safety, and doing things right the first time.
Position summary
TFR is seeking an experienced Purchasing Specialist to oversee purchasing, inventory, vendors, and material flow so Production and Project teams always have what they need, on time and on budget.
What you will do
Manage purchasing, inventory, and supplier relationships.
Source materials and negotiate pricing and terms.
Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely availability of materials.
Coordinate purchasing with the Production and Project teams.
Evaluate and develop reliable vendors.
Track orders, deliveries, costs, and inventory accuracy in the company's inventory and purchasing system.
Generate purchase orders within the budget guidelines set by Finance.
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
Qualifications
Strong organizational and negotiation skills.
Proficiency with computers, Excel, and inventory/purchasing systems.
Ability to analyze costs and manage multiple priorities.
Manufacturing, furniture, or restoration experience is a plus.
Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
Associate or bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience accepted.
Experience
3 to 5 years in supply chain, purchasing, or procurement.
Hands-on experience managing inventory for a production or shop environment.
Vendor development and cost-reduction results you can show place you at the top of the range.
