Job Summary
Total Equipment Company is a division of DXP Enterprises, and we are constantly growing our business. We are currently looking for an experienced industrial equipment mechanics to join our service team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty machinery and industrial equipment used across various operational sites.
Your expertise will ensure the optimal performance, safety, and longevity of critical rotating components such as pumps, air compressors and blowers.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshooting, repairing and rebuilding various industrial rotating pieces of equipment such as pumps, air compressors and blowers
- Perform routine maintenance so our customers do not experience downtime
- Use diagnostic tools to aid in troubleshooting
- Provide help to other mechanics with large equipment maintenance and repair jobs
- Perform quality inspections
- Complete clear and understandable work orders and other service paperwork
- Follow all rules and perform duties with safety in mind
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a mechanic of at least 5 years
- Knowledge of shop equipment and tools
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Deadline and detail oriented
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Fluent written and verbal English communication
- Must pass background check and drug screening
