Duties
- Conduct routine pool maintenance including water testing, chemical balancing, and filter cleaning to ensure optimal water quality.
- Perform pool cleaning tasks such as skimming debris, brushing surfaces, and vacuuming to maintain cleanliness and appearance.
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair pool equipment such as pumps, filters, heaters, and chlorinators using hand tools and power tools.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues promptly to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operation of pool systems.
- Maintain detailed service records of all inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities for each client’s pool.
- Assist with the installation of new pool equipment or upgrades as needed, following safety protocols.
- Follow safety guidelines rigorously during all maintenance activities to protect yourself and clients’ property.
Experience
- Previous experience as a service technician or in a related pool maintenance role is preferred but not required; on-the-job training will be provided.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand complex equipment systems.
- Experience repairing or servicing pool equipment using various hand tools and power tools.
- Familiarity with pool cleaning techniques and routine maintenance procedures.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple service appointments efficiently.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to troubleshooting mechanical issues.
