Pay
$17.00–$25.00 per hour, depending on experience.
For highly qualified drillers and Class A CDL holders, compensation is negotiable based on experience and skill level.
In addition to hourly pay, employees receive paid drive time, per diem for overnight travel, and hotel accommodationswhile working out of town.

Responsibilities Driller Assistant
- Assist the driller with daily drilling operations using a variety of drilling techniques and equipment.
- Help transport, set up, operate, and maintain drilling rigs and support equipment.
- Collect soil and rock samples and assist with field testing.
- Maintain equipment and keep work areas clean and organized.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Work with the crew to complete projects safely, professionally, and on schedule.
Lead Driller (Experienced Applicants)
- Lead daily drilling operations in the field.
- Operate drilling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Communicate with clients, engineers, and project managers.
- Complete daily drilling reports, bore logs, timesheets, and other project documentation.
- Mentor and train drilling assistants.
- Ensure projects are completed safely, accurately, and on schedule.
Qualifications
- Willingness to learn and work as part of a team.
- Ability to travel overnight throughout the Southeast.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Class A CDL preferred (higher compensation available).
- Previous geotechnical drilling, construction, heavy equipment, or related experience is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work safely in physically demanding environments.
Working Conditions
Applicants must be willing and physically able to:
- Work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Walk across rough and uneven terrain.
- Stand for up to 8 hours per day (occasionally up to 12 hours).
- Regularly lift and carry 40–75 pounds.
- Safely operate and maneuver drilling equipment and support tools.
- Travel overnight as needed. Company transportation from the office, hotel accommodations, and per diem are provided.
- Occasionally work outside normal business hours to meet project schedules.
