About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Occupational Therapist Assistant
(OTA) to join our growing team. In this role, you will work alongside a licensed
Occupational Therapist to provide high-quality, patient-centered care that helps residents improve mobility, increase strength, restore function, and maintain
their independence.
Clinical Responsibilities
Provide skilled occupational therapy treatments under the direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist according to established plans of care.
Deliver therapeutic activities and interventions focused on improving activities of daily living (ADLs), instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs), upper extremity function, coordination, balance, strength, cognition, and functional independence.
Monitor patient progress and communicate changes in condition to the supervising Occupational Therapist.
Complete timely and accurate documentation using the electronic medical record (EMR).
Educate residents and caregivers on adaptive equipment, energy conservation techniques, home safety, fall prevention, and strategies to maximize independence.
Collaborate with Occupational Therapists and interdisciplinary team members to provide coordinated, patient-centered care.
Maintain a productive clinical caseload while delivering compassionate, high-quality occupational therapy services.
Director of Rehabilitation Responsibilities
Act as the main liaison between leadership and the facility.
Oversee staff performance and support professional development.
Manage administrative and operational tasks across therapy services.
Coordinate meetings, training, and events for staff and residents.
Maintain communication with residents, families, and leadership.
Drive referrals for all disciplines
Qualifications
Current State Occupational Therapist Assistant (OTA) License
Current CPR/BLS Certification
Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance
Previous experience in geriatrics, home health, assisted living, or skilled nursing preferred
Previous leadership, supervisory, or Director of Rehabilitation experience preferred, but leadership potential will be considered
Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills
