NEW PROGRAM LAUNCHED AND COMPANY EXPANSION
Total Care Services, Inc., is launching services under the Home and Community-Based Services Waiver (HCBSW) for Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, and we are seeking a dedicated Program Supervisor to lead daily program operations, support staff, and ensure high-quality services for children and youth with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and their families.
The Program Supervisor works closely with the Program Director to oversee service delivery, documentation, compliance, team performance, and family support. This role requires strong leadership, sound judgment, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to person-centered, culturally responsive care.
Key Responsibilities
Supervision & Staff Support
- Provide supervision, coaching, and performance support to Community Support Monitors, IISS staff, and Respite Care Professionals.
- Develop staff schedules to ensure consistent service coverage.
- Ensure all staff meet training, credentialing, and supervision standards per COMAR 10.09.56 and organizational policies.
- Identify staffing concerns and collaborate with the Program Director on solutions.
Program Implementation & Coordination
- Assist with implementing program operations consistent with person-centered plans and waiver requirements.
- Monitor participant progress and recommend service plan adjustments.
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, schools, providers, and community partners.
- Serve as a resource to families and escalate complex issues to the Program Director.
Documentation, Quality Assurance & Compliance
- Oversee accuracy and quality of staff documentation and progress notes.
- Maintain required records in compliance with Medicaid, MDH, and federal/state regulations.
- Conduct routine quality checks and report risks or concerns.
- Support compliance with COMAR 10.09.56, HIPAA, Reportable Events, and safety regulations.
Crisis Response & Safety
- Respond to crises with appropriate de-escalation and intervention strategies.
- Notify and partner with leadership or safety personnel during high-risk situations.
Training & Professional Development
- Coordinate and support annual and ongoing staff training (e.g., Abuse/Neglect Prevention, PBIS, HIPAA).
- Promote staff skill development through feedback, observation, and modeling.
Professional Conduct & Decision-Making
- Uphold ethical decision-making and adherence to internal and regulatory standards.
- Maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries.
- Seek guidance when situations involve health, safety, compliance, or complex family needs.
Working Conditions
- Hybrid role: Remote work plus travel to family homes, community sites, and program meetings.
- Must maintain a private, confidential workspace with reliable high-speed internet.
- Flexibility required to meet family schedules, school calendars, and cultural needs.
- Company-provided equipment for job duties.
Qualifications
Education/Certification (one of the following required):
- Master’s degree (doctorate preferred) in special education or related field and 5 years of autism/developmental disabilities training or consulting experience; OR
- Valid licensure/certification as:
- Licensed Psychologist
- LCSW
- Licensed Professional Counselor
- Certified School Psychologist
- Certified Special Educator
- Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
Additional Requirements:
- Leadership and supervisory experience.
- Experience supporting individuals with ASD or developmental disabilities.
- Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills.
- Commitment to culturally responsive and inclusive practices.
- Ability to work flexible hours and respond to crises.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and comfort with electronic documentation systems.
- Successful background check, drug screening, and compliance with health/vaccination requirements.
- Must be 21 with a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
