We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher / Lead Classroom Teacher to lead a highly supported classroom for students with autism and other developmental disabilities.

What you will do:
- Lead a small, highly supported classroom for students with autism
- Plan and deliver individualized, developmentally appropriate instruction
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized learning goals
- Adapt curriculum and classroom materials to meet each student's unique needs
- Create structured classroom routines and implement positive behavior supports
- Collect, monitor, and document student progress
- Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers
- Collaborate with classroom staff, therapists, and clinical team members
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school activities
- Maintain a safe, organized, welcoming, and engaging classroom environment
- Ensure compliance with school policies, state regulations, and student confidentiality requirements
What you’ll bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Special Education, Child Development, or a related field
- Georgia teaching license or eligibility for appropriate Georgia licensure preferred
- Experience working with children with autism, developmental disabilities, or specialized learning needs
- Strong classroom management, organization, and communication skills
- Ability to develop individualized academic and behavioral supports
- Collaborative mindset with families, school leadership, therapists, and support staff
- CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain certification
