Location: Greater Charleston, SC (Remote with In-Person Training) Compensation: $350–$500 per week (retainer-based, part-time) Expected Hours: 15-25 hours per week ($14-20/hour equivalent) Schedule: Part-time, flexible hours within business hours (8:30 AM - 5:30 PM weekdays)

About the Role

Total Boat Repair is a premium mobile marine services company serving boat owners throughout the Charleston Lowcountry. We specialize in professional dockside detailing, gelcoat and fiberglass repair, and related marine services.

We are seeking an independent part-time Virtual Assistant who will serve as the first point of contact for our customers—handling inbound calls and messages, scheduling services, managing follow-ups, and supporting day-to-day operational workflows.

This role is remote but requires the ability to meet in person locally for onboarding and periodic training to ensure strong process alignment and service quality.

Core Responsibilities

Primary (Daily Tasks):

• Answer and respond to inbound calls, texts, emails, and online inquiries within minutes during business hours
• Schedule estimates and services accurately using our CRM (Jobber)
• Qualify leads and gather required boat details (type, size, condition, location, photos/videos)

Secondary (Weekly Tasks):

• Manage follow-ups for pending estimates, unscheduled jobs, and customer questions
• Maintain clean, organized CRM records and detailed customer notes
• Communicate clearly with internal team members to ensure smooth scheduling and execution
• Uphold a professional, high-touch experience for all customers

Must-Have Qualifications

Applicants must meet all of the following:

• Located in the greater Charleston area (in-person training required)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Highly responsive and dependable (timely replies are critical)
• Comfortable working independently in a remote environment
• Quiet, professional environment for calls (no background noise/distractions)
• Basic familiarity with boats and willingness to learn marine terminology (we'll train you on technical aspects like center consoles, yachts, sailboats, hulls, gelcoat, docks, lifts, marinas, etc.)

Highly Qualified Candidates Will Also Have

(Not required, but strongly preferred)

• Advanced organizational and task-management skills
• Extensive boating knowledge (yachts, sailboats, sportfishing boats, luxury center consoles)
• Prior experience using Jobber or similar service-based CRMs
• Social media marketing experience (Instagram, Facebook, content posting or coordination)
• Ad creative or marketing support experience (copywriting, visuals, lead follow-up workflows)
• Experience supporting service-based or luxury home/marine businesses

Schedule Expectations

• Available during core business hours: 7 AM - 5 PM Mon - Sat (somewhat flexible schedule within this window)
• 95% Answer Rate and quick response time required: calls/texts within 1-3 minutes
• Some evening/weekend availability helpful but not required
• Paid weekly via retainer regardless of fluctuations in call volume
