Duties
- Review project plans, specifications, and drawings to develop comprehensive masonry estimates.
- Utilize estimating software such as OST to prepare detailed bids and proposals.
- Conduct site visits to assess existing conditions and gather necessary data for accurate estimation.
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and clients to negotiate pricing and scope of work.
- Prepare detailed cost analyses covering labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services.
- Manage contract documents, change orders, and scope adjustments throughout the project lifecycle.
- Monitor project budgets and implement cost control measures to ensure profitability and efficiency.
Experience
- Proven experience in construction estimating with a focus on masonry or related trades.
- Strong knowledge of construction management principles, contracts, and project management practices.
- Proficiency in On Screen Takeoff, Microsoft Office, and other estimating or project management software tools.
- Hands-on construction site experience that provides insight into field operations and material requirements.
- Excellent negotiation skills to secure favorable pricing while maintaining quality standards.
- Familiarity with cost control techniques and pricing strategies within the construction industry.
