About the Opportunity

Join a growing aerospace manufacturing team as a Manual Machinist, where precision, craftsmanship, and quality are essential. In this hands-on role, you’ll produce precision metal components for commercial and military aerospace applications using manual machining equipment.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate manual machining equipment, including lathes, milling machines, and grinders, to produce precision metal components.
• Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine machining requirements.
• Use precision measuring instruments, including calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and dial indicators, to verify part dimensions and quality.
• Select and set up appropriate tooling, fixtures, and equipment for efficient and accurate machining.
• Perform machine setup and adjustments with a strong focus on precision, efficiency, and quality.
• Inspect completed parts using GD&T standards to ensure compliance with engineering specifications.
• Maintain accurate and consistent workmanship throughout the machining process.
• Keep the work area clean, organized, and compliant with established safety procedures.
• Follow company quality standards and aerospace manufacturing requirements.

Requirements

• Strong mechanical knowledge and the ability to interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings.
• Proficiency in manual machining using lathes, milling machines, grinders, and related equipment.
• Experience using precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and dial indicators.
• Ability to read and apply GD&T requirements accurately.
• Knowledge of tool selection, tooling setup, and machine calibration.
• Familiarity with CNC machining concepts is a plus but not required.
• Knowledge or experience with EDM techniques is preferred.
• Basic mathematical skills for measurements, calculations, and unit conversions.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of metal properties and machining techniques.
• Experience using hand and power tools in a manufacturing or machining environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and precision.
