Duties
- Assist in preparing ingredients and cooking meals according to established recipes and menu plans
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives, mixers, ovens, and food processors
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen appliances to meet hygiene standards
- Follow food safety protocols during handling, storage, and preparation of all ingredients
- Support meal assembly and plating to ensure presentation meets quality expectations
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food production and service times
- Help with catering events by preparing large quantities of food and ensuring timely delivery
- Adhere strictly to safety standards during all phases of food production and cleaning procedures
Experience
- Background in food service or restaurant environments demonstrating familiarity with food industry practices
- Skills in food handling, slicing techniques, knife skills, and cooking methods
- Experience operating commercial kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Understanding of food safety management systems and sanitation standards
- Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork with kitchen staff and service personnel
- Catering experience or involvement in large-scale meal preparation is a plus
