Summary
The Supply Chain Intern, located in Grove City, OH, will support key supply chain and operations activities, gaining hands-on experience in a regulated medical device environment. This on-site role provides exposure to demand planning, procurement, inventory management, supplier performance, and cross-functional collaboration with Quality, Refurbishment, and other cross-functional teams.
Reporting Relationships
The Supply Chain Intern reports to the Director of Supply Chain.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist with data analysis related to inventory levels, demand forecasts, and supply planning
- Support purchasing activities, including purchase order tracking and supplier communication
- Help maintain and analyze inventory accuracy, cycle counts, and material availability
- Participate in supplier performance tracking, including on time delivery and quality metrics
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to cost, service, and lead time reduction
- Assist with documentation and data preparation to support Quality requirements
- Collaborate with cross functional teams including Manufacturing, Quality, and Finance
- Prepare reports, dashboards, and presentations for supply chain leadership
- Perform other supply chain and operations tasks as assigned
Education
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Analytics or any other relevant field.
Skills and Qualifications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas; Power BI a plus)
- Ability to analyze data and present clear insights
- Strong attention to detail and organization skills
- Effective written and verbal communication
Physical Requirements
- Ability to use hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials, and manipulating objects and materials.
- Ability to talk and hear
- Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, and crouch for extended periods of time
- The ability to lift, move, and handle products and packages weighing up to 25 pounds on a regular basis and approximately 50 pounds on an occasional basis.
- Frequently performing desk-based computer tasks, including frequent typing
