A candidate in this position will be responsible for supporting the company’s financial initiatives. The main duties for this position include preparing financial statements, assist in various tax filings and maintaining all aspects of the general ledger.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assists in preparation of monthly financial statements and meet critical deadlines.
- Assists in preparation and filing of various tax returns.
- Maintains all aspects of the general ledger including support of the consolidation of results of operations.
- Actively pursues desirable operational adjustments through the identification and analysis of trends.
- Considers mechanisms to increases utilization of the existing ERP system.
- Supports annual external audit and maintains financial internal controls throughout the year.
- Ensures compliance with GAAP and other regulatory or governmental requirements.
- Supports internal control environment surrounding core processes including: record to report, procure to pay, order to cash, leasing, and fixed assets.
- Monitors early warnings of financial control gaps.
- Adheres to current polices and procedures to ensure a compliant and efficient department.
- Supports the administration of intercompany billing with subsidiary companies
Education:
Minimum education requirement of a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, CPA desired
Skills and Qualifications:
- A minimum of 1-2 years of financial experience in finance / accounting roles - desired
- Demonstrated understanding of GAAP and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Expert knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite.
