Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Level III Information Technology Specialist to join our dynamic team. This role is crucial in supporting and enhancing our IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of IT systems, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a passion for technology that drives organizational success.
Duties
- Install, configure, and maintain hardware, software, servers, networks, and peripheral equipment in a multi-platform environment.
- Provide on-site and helpdesk technical support for hardware, software, and networking issues to all district users.
- Manage software systems, including operating systems, applications, and security updates.
- Ensure the security and integrity of data and systems, including the implementation of security best practices.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
- Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery plans.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot technical issues proactively.
- Recommend configurations and develop infrastructure solutions to meet the needs of the school community.
- Document all changes to networks and systems, ensuring proper testing of modifications.
- Work closely with IT staff to establish technical standards, policies, and procedures related to data protection, system security, and the use of technology.
- Work closely with Cafeteria staff and the Director of Food Services to troubleshoot point-of-sale systems, other cafeteria equipment, and programs.
- Make recommendations and edits to social media accounts and promotions as needed.
- Coordinate and support district-wide technology projects, including but not limited to: helpdesk operations, MacBook support, and website updates.
- Provide professional development and training to staff as needed.
- Additional stipends for projects that come under Food Services and/or other departments, as designated by the Director of Technology.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- At least 3 years’ technology experience, including but not limited to: imaging computers, user management, device lifecycle, GSuite, Chromebook troubleshooting, Enterprise WiFi, Helpdesk;
- Must be able to oversee, manage, and configure the network infrastructure and data systems within a school district;
- Must be very customer-oriented and comfortable working with staff, students, and parents;
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time;
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs;
- Must be a strong communicator;
- Must be a team player.
