What are the responsibilities and job description for the Information Technology Help Desk Technician position at Torridon Law PLLC?
We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Tier 2 IT Help Desk Technician to join our legal IT team. Experience in a legal environment is highly desirable, as this role supports attorneys, paralegals, and staff in a fast paced, confidentiality-driven environment who rely on specialized legal software and secure, compliant systems.
Essential Duties and Key Responsibilities:
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
· Resolve complex tech issues escalated by end-users
· Support Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365, Mac OS and VPNs
· Manage accounts and group policies
· Troubleshoot legal-specific software
· Support video conferencing & courtroom presentation tools
· Document solutions in collaboration with IT architect
· Ensure compliance with firm IT security policies, data privacy regulations, and confidentiality standards
· Assist with the setup and maintenance of desktop/laptop computers, printers, conference room AV systems, and VoIP phones.
Minimum Qualifications:
· 3 years of IT support (1 in a Tier 2 role)
· Excellent communication, documentation, and customer service skills
· Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize under pressure
· Expertise with Microsoft technologies & remote access tools
· Experience supporting legal or professional services environments a plus
· Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
Preferred Skills:
· CompTIA A , Network , or Microsoft certifications
· Degree in IT or related field preferred.
Additional Information:
- Salary Range: $65,000 - $85,000
- This salary range represents a general guideline. Actual base salary compensation will be determined by factors such as a candidate’s experience, education, skills, internal equity, and current market conditions.
