Private Party Vehicle Buyer – Acquisition Specialist

$14/hour base $100 per vehicle purchased monthly bonuses — total earning potential $45,000–$65,000 per year based on performance.
What You'll Do:
Source, appraise, negotiate, and close vehicle purchases directly from private sellers — helping build T.A.G.'s private-party Buy Center.

About the Role
Torres Automotive Group (T.A.G.) is a growing, independent Utah dealership group built on one idea: Help people. We're growing and looking for our first Acquisition Specialist — sourcing inventory directly from private sellers, outside the traditional auction channel, and bringing in the right cars at the right price.
What You'll Do
- Source private-party vehicle leads from online marketplaces (Facebook Marketplace, KSL, Craigslist, and similar) and inbound inquiries
- Evaluate vehicles using market data, vehicle history, and condition assessment
- Negotiate purchase price directly with sellers
- Close purchases: handle paperwork, title transfer, and payment
- Hit monthly targets for phone calls, units acquired, gross per unit, and acquisition cost vs. market
- Keep lead, pipeline and deal notes current for tracking and follow-up
What We're Looking For
- Strong negotiation and communication skills — comfortable talking price with strangers
- Understanding of vehicle values and condition assessment (or strong aptitude to learn fast)
- Self-starter who can manage their own lead pipeline
- Reliable and detail-oriented with paperwork and title work

Prior experience in automotive sales, appraisal, wholesale buying, or vehicle acquisition helps but someone wanting to grow with our team that shares our core values is a must— we're willing to train the right person.
