Farmers Insurance - Retention Specialist

We are looking for a dedicated and empathetic Retention Specialist to join The Torres Agency. If you thrive on building relationships, solving problems quickly, and turning at-risk clients into loyal long-term customers, this role is built for you.

You will play a key role in protecting our book of business by proactively engaging policyholders who are considering canceling, lapsing, or shopping for coverage elsewhere — and delivering the kind of service that keeps them with Farmers.

Salary Range: $36,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year

Annual Base Salary Commission Bonus Opportunities

• Active Property & Casualty license (Life license a plus)

• Strong phone-based communication and de-escalation skills

• Empathetic, consultative approach to client conversations

• Ability to identify coverage gaps and present solutions clearly

• Comfortable working with KPIs and structured retention workflows

• Detail-oriented with consistent follow-up and documentation habits

• Self-motivated and accountable — you take ownership of your numbers

• Proactively contact policyholders who are at risk of canceling or lapsing

• Listen to client concerns and address objections professionally and with empathy

• Review policies to identify and present bundling or coverage improvement opportunities

• Execute win-back outreach for recently canceled accounts

• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation in Agency Zoom

• Coordinate with the sales team to ensure smooth client handoffs

• Track and report retention metrics weekly during team meetings

• Support a positive customer experience that builds loyalty to the agency
