Software Engineer in Test

Position: SDET with Playwright

Location: Irving, TX (Day 1 On-Site)

Required Qualifications

10 years in QA Automation with experience in complex, infra-dependent systems.

- Strong skills in Playwright and BDD frameworks.

- Experience with Kubernetes/OpenShift testing.

- Strong CI/CD integration experience.

- Performance testing experience with JMeter/k6.

- Familiarity with observability tools.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with container and VM migrations.

- Knowledge of Helm, YAML, Kubernetes manifests.

- Scripting experience (Python/Bash).

Test Strategy & Analysis

- Analyze legacy and containerized applications to understand architecture, data flows, integrations, IO/network/storage patterns.

- Identify performance, throughput, latency, resiliency, DR readiness requirements

- Assess existing test assets and identify gaps.

Test Scenario Design & Coverage Modeling

- Build buckets of scenarios: functional, integration, data integrity, regression, NFR, DR/failover, infra validation.

- Identify dependencies impacting migration readiness and business signoff.

Test Automation Development

- Implement automation using Playwright for UI/API.

- Develop BDD-based test automation for easier CI/CD integration.

- Automate data setup, environment readiness checks, regression packs.

CI/CD Integration & Quality Gates

- Embed testing within CI/CD pipelines.

- Align automation with quality gates and performance gates.

- Integrate with GitHub Actions, Harness, and existing pipelines.

Performance Engineering Integration

- Define and automate performance tests for high IO/network/storage workloads.

- Plug performance testing into deployment workflows.
