Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide expert advice on gardening, horticulture, floral design, and outdoor maintenance products
- Assist customers with product selection tailored to their needs and project goals
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process sales, handle cash and electronic payments, and manage receipts
- Support inventory management through stock replenishment and merchandise merchandising strategies
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries in multiple languages if applicable and resolving issues promptly
- Maintain knowledge of current trends in lawn care, landscape maintenance, and gardening to inform customers effectively
Requirements
- Previous experience in retail sales or customer service preferred; familiarity with POS systems and cash handling is a plus
- Strong communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are an advantage for serving diverse customers
- Organizational skills to manage stocking, merchandising, and inventory tasks efficiently
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate loads as needed in a retail environment
- Basic retail math skills for accuracy
