Job Summary
Toro Burger Bar is seeking a friendly and organized Guest Seating Coordinator to welcome guests, manage seating arrangements, coordinate table availability, and support smooth front-of-house operations. Key Responsibilities
- Welcome guests warmly and assist them upon arrival
- Manage guest seating arrangements and maintain an organized waiting area
- Coordinate table assignments based on availability and party size
- Communicate estimated wait times and seating updates to guests
- Maintain reservation lists and walk-in guest records when applicable
- Coordinate with servers and restaurant management to balance seating flow
- Monitor table turnover and communicate table readiness
- Respond professionally to guest questions, requests, and concerns
- Assist with managing waiting lists during busy service periods
- Maintain clean and organized entrance, host stand, and waiting areas
- Communicate special seating requests to the appropriate team members
- Support opening and closing procedures for the front-of-house area
- Follow restaurant service standards and customer service procedures
Qualifications
- Previous host, hostess, restaurant, or customer service experience preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Friendly, professional, and customer-focused attitude
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Ability to remain calm in a fast-paced restaurant environment
- Good problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills
- Familiarity with reservation or table-management systems is an advantage
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
