Torishin is a high-end Yakitori (grilled chicken skewer) restaurant — the only one in the U.S. to receive a Michelin star for seven consecutive years, along with a 3-star review from The New York Times.

“We’re hiring for a Front-of-House Trainer Candidates”
This position requiring a steady commitment of at least 3days working days per week.
Requirements:
- Must be able to work at least 3 days per week
- Must not be working at another restaurant at the same time
- Must be at least 21 years old (due to handling alcohol) and not currently a student
- Previous experience in the hospitality industry is required
- Teamwork and leadership are Required
- Long-term commitment is preferred
- Some knowledge of Japanese cuisine or being Japanese is highly welcomed
- Japanese language skills are a plus, but not required
Compensation:
- Estimated total hourly earnings (after the training period): $35.00 – $55.00 before tax
Training Period: First 10 days (may be shortened based on performance)
Pay: $11 tips(90%) - After Training: ~$13 tips(100%) , with opportunities for more raise based on performance.
- Career Path (from end of training):
After 30 working days: Eligible for Assistant Trainer test (written - 110% tip share)
After 60 working days :Eligible for Trainer test (120% tip share)
After 90 working days: Eligible for Chief Trainer test (130% tip share)
