Job Description

Torch Technologies Inc., is seeking a Financial Analyst 1 supporting our Strategic Defense Business Unit.

Responsibilities:

• Support the Technical Direction Leads, Program Managers, and Senior Management for customer funding actions to support material procurement, travel, and contractor labor.

• Examine budget estimates for completeness, accuracy, and conformance with procedures and regulations. Analyze budgeting and accounting reports.

• Review funding and technical direction documents received for accuracy.

• Work with program management on prime contractor budgeting, spend rate analysis, and projections for labor, material, and travel budgets.

• Work with program management on subcontractor spend rate analysis and projections to include labor and travel budgets.

• Develop spending plans to align contractor burnouts in the same timeframe based on monthly spend plans.

• Performs basic activities in support of various financial functions such as budgeting, auditing, forecasting and analysis.

• Maintains documented records supporting financial forecasts used in the rate and budget area.

• Respond to rate and budget questions and provide explanations to ensure management understanding.

• Ensures compliance with internal procedures and DAR/FAR government regulations.

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field with 0-2 years of equivalent experience. 

• Must be a US citizen

• Must have an active US security clearance at the Secret level.

• Must be able to maintain clearance at required level.

• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office products.
