Torch Technologies is seeking a Network Engineer Principal (Cloud Strategy & Migration) located at Maxwell Air Force Base-Gunter Annex in Montgomery, AL, within the AFLCMC/GB Business and Enterprise Systems Directorate (BES), to support the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Common Services (CS). ERP Common Services is responsible for establishing, integrating, and sustaining common engineered infrastructure and services capabilities across the Air Force’s ERP applications. ERP CS supports the deployment of the Air Force Integrated Personnel and Pay System (AFIPPS-ACAT I), Defense Enterprise Accounting Management System (DEAMS-ACAT I) and Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul Initiative (MROi-BCAT II).
As a Network Engineer, Principal your duties will include the following, but are not limited to:

The Network Engineer Principal shall have responsibilities to advise and support work that involves the planning, analysis, design, development, testing, quality assurance, configuration, installation, implementation, integration, maintenance, and/or management of networked IT systems. Functions required to be performed by individuals in this specialty may include:

Responsibilities
The Network Engineer Principal shall have responsibilities to advise and support work that involves the planning, analysis, design, development, testing, quality assurance, configuration, installation, implementation, integration, maintenance, and/or management of networked IT systems. Functions required to be performed by individuals in this specialty may include:
- Analyzing and recommending cloud infrastructure requirements.
- Recommending and maintaining network architecture and infrastructure.
- Analyzing network workload.
- Monitoring network capacity and performance.
- Diagnosing and resolving network problems; Recommending network backup and recovery procedures; and/or,
- Installing, testing, maintaining, upgrading network operating systems software, and/or ensuring the rigorous application of information security/cybersecurity policies, principles, and practices in the delivery of network services.
- U.S. Citizenship.
- Advanced Degree (MA/MS) in Computer Science, Information Technology or other Engineering Discipline and 5 years of experience, 3 of which must be in the DoD; or,
- BA/BS Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or other Engineering Discipline and 7 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, 4 of which must be in the DoD; or,
- 15 years of directly related experience with proper certifications, 8 of which must be in the DoD.
- Minimum 3 yrs. experience developing, deploying or maintaining operational cloud (OCI, AWS and/or Azure) environments with an emphasis on federal or DoD systems (GovCloud, Cloud1); and,
- Cloud Certification preferred, relevant to position, product(s) support.
- CompTIA Security Certification (or higher)
- Must have an Active DoD security clearance at the Secret level
- Must maintain clearance at required level.
