What are the responsibilities and job description for the Property Manager and Business Administrator position at Torch Lake Proprietors?
This is a blended role that encompasses two part time positions.
Property Manager: Full management of two short term rental properties. This is in-person and the schedule is dictated by the bookings. Anticipated hours would be approximately 5-10 hours per week. The rental cleanings often occur on a weekend day, but the time commitment is short – typically less than three hours to “flip” the house. A vehicle and tools for job duties will be provided.
- Cleaning between guests
- Purchasing and stocking supplies
- Maintenance and upkeep
- Light landscaping (mowing, weeding, etc)
- Laundering linens
- Responding to guest’s questions and concerns (mostly through text and the booking app)
- Opportunity for hospitality skills to flourish by going the extra mile to make the guest’s experience special
- Opportunity to manage the social media if that is of interest
Small Business Administrator: This portion could be done remotely. Anticipated hours would be approximately 5-10 hours per week. Some bookkeeping experience would be great, but most can be taught.
- Simple bookkeeping on Quickbooks online
- Sending invoices
- Receptionist through Google Phone: checking voicemails remotely and following up with customers
- Helping to maintain a calendar

Pay: $19.00 - $24.00 per hour
