Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages including cocktails, wine, craft beers, and non-alcoholic options, following established recipes and presentation standards.
- Take food and drink orders accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring efficient processing of cash and card transactions.
- Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with guests, answering questions about menu items, and making personalized recommendations based on preferences.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including glassware, utensils, and beverage stations, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards.
- Develop new beverage recipes and refine existing ones to enhance the guest experience while staying within brand guidelines.
- Manage multiple tables or bar stations efficiently through effective time management skills during busy periods.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations, support bar management initiatives, and uphold high standards of hospitality industry excellence.
Experience
- Proven experience in food service or hospitality roles, preferably with fine dining or upscale establishments.
- Demonstrated expertise in mixology, cocktail creation, wine knowledge, and craft beer brewing or tasting.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for processing transactions accurately.
- Experience in beverage recipe development and serving a diverse clientele in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly while managing multiple responsibilities efficiently.
- Knowledge of food safety protocols, proper food handling techniques, and basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations.
- Previous banquet or catering experience is a plus but not required; enthusiasm for learning is essential.
