What are the responsibilities and job description for the Food Runner position at TORC?
TORC restaurant in Napa is looking for talented, enthusiastic individuals to join our team.
We are hiring for FOOD RUNNERS. All applicants should have experience, be passionate about food and beverage; motivated self starters with flexible schedules.
Applicants need to be gracious, friendly and be able to multitask in a high volume environment and focus on exceeding guest expectations.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Run food from the kitchen.
- Use the standard 3 point verbiage when describing food.
- Develop a complete and intimate understanding of the food menu and ingredients.
- Inform the Chef when guests are up from a table, and how quickly or slowly they are dining.
- Mark tables with hot plates from the kitchen as directed.
- Assist the Servers and Bussers with clearing tables and table maintenance.
- Polish silverware and glassware.
- Stock cabinets and kitchen stations with clean plates.
- Act as the liason between front of the house and back of the house.
- Clearly announce food ticket orders to Line Cooks.
- Keep tickets organized, maintain awareness of counts of all items.
- Maintain proper timing of courses, fire upcoming courses if Server has not done so.
