Position: Facilities Electrician
Toray Performance Materials Corporation (TPMC) is seeking a hands‑on, detail‑oriented Facilities Electrician to maintain facility electrical systems, troubleshoot industrial equipment, support controls and automation tasks, and perform preventive maintenance while ensuring compliance with OSHA, NFPA 70, and Cal/OSHA safety standards.

Position Overview:
The Facilities Electrician will be responsible for all plant-wide electrical systems at our Camarillo manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving electrical infrastructure supporting industrial equipment, utilities, and building systems.
Major Duties and Requirements
Facility Electrical Systems
- Install, maintain, and repair facility electrical distribution systems (120V–480V, 3-phase)
- Maintain panels, breakers, transformers, switchgear, MCCs, and busways
- Perform load balancing and support electrical capacity planning for new equipment
Production Equipment Support
- Troubleshoot and repair industrial equipment electrical systems
- Support new machine installations, commissioning, and upgrades
- Work closely with Production, Engineering, and Maintenance teams
Controls & Automation Support
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, ladder logic, and P&IDs
- Assist with PLC troubleshooting Allen-Bradley & Siemens (Preferred)
- Diagnose control wiring, I/O, relays, and instrumentation issues (Preferred)
Preventive Maintenance
- Develop and execute preventive & predictive maintenance programs
- Perform routine inspections, thermography checks, and system audits
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs and documentation
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with all applicable codes and standards:
- OSHA regulations
- NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code)
- California Division of Occupational Safety and Health (Cal/OSHA)
- Implement and maintain LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) procedures
- Support Arc Flash studies, labeling, and PPE requirements
Other
- Responsible for directing all in-house construction work to ensure full compliance with the National Electric Code.
- Responsible for adhering to all safety rules and regulations and performing all work with acceptable methods and procedures.
- Additionally, responsible for resolving unsafe conditions relating to electrical and reporting such conditions to the supervisor.
- Responsible for cross-training electrical skills as needed.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures and always follow best practices.
- Maintain and secure work tools and follow 3S/5S procedures.
- Follow safety procedures for PPE (personal protection equipment).
Experience, Education Requirements, and Language Skills:
- Minimum of high school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Completion of a recognized electrician apprenticeship OR equivalent experience
- Must have working knowledge of all state, federal and local regulations compliance
and meet any NEC code
- Must be able to install, repair and troubleshoot mechanical systems, lighting, valves,
sensors, motors, starters, breakers, switchgear, chillers, boilers, pumps, and blowers
- Familiarity with Hitachi, Idec, Siemens and Allen-Bradley PLCs and VFDs, Modbus
and Profibus DP control networks preferred
- Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics
- Must be able to communicate clearly (written and verbally) in English
- Basic computer skills and enter data on computer
- AutoCAD Experience preferred.
Compensation: A competitive compensation package including base salary, potential for bonus based on performance, health insurance, and 401k will be available to the qualified applicant.
Salary Information
$64,152 – max $102,643
The pay range above represents the expected offer range for the position. Factors that may be used to determine where newly hired employees will be placed in the pay range include the employee specific skills and qualifications, relevant years of experience and comparison to internal equity.

Salary : $64,152 - $102,643
