Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment for students
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
- Utilize various teaching strategies to accommodate different learning styles
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to support student success
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress
- Provide academic support through tutoring and mentoring - Implement behavior management techniques to create a positive and productive learning environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field
- Valid teaching certification or license
- Experience in curriculum development and lesson planning
- Knowledge of special education principles and practices
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of diverse learners
- Passion for teaching and a commitment to student success - Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Proficient in using technology for instructional purposes is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple responsibilities.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in literacy education or reading intervention programs
- Background in journalism or writing instruction
