Job Summary
In this role you will be responsible for maintaining the yard operations.
Responsibilities
- Load and unload materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other heavy equipment.
- Manage inventory by accurately picking orders, organizing stock, and maintaining proper storage practices.
- Assist with shipping and receiving activities by preparing shipments, verifying orders, and ensuring proper documentation.
- Maintain a clean and organized yard area by performing manual handling tasks and ensuring safe pathways for all team members.
- Follow OSHA safety standards and company policies to promote a safe working environment at all times.
- Support operations by updating records and tracking inventory movements.
- Assist where and when it's needed. Including errands, maintenance and office work.
Skills
- Ability to operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, cranes, and load & unload machinery safely.
- Mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment operation and basic maintenance procedures is a plus.
- Excellent manual handling skills with the ability to lift heavy loads safely.
- Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying shipments accurately.
- Strong organizational skills.
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
