Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Complete required, scheduled quality checks of all parts
- Complete setup approvals
- Quality documentation and paperwork verification
- Proper adjustment and settings of quality sensors
- Pan dumps
- Fill machines with oil when needed
- Assist in daily 5SA activities and housekeeping and complete 5S check sheets
- Complete PM check sheet
- Proper tool changes and adjustments
- Pull full tubs and complete documentation
- Check out tools from tool room
- Eliminate the number of lost parts from conveyors, rollers, or chutes
- Eliminate waste (e.g. scrap, rework, high too consumption, etc.)
- Eliminate machine downtime
- Material handler responsibilities as needed
- Maintain machines and complete necessary adjustments and set ups efficiently
- Eliminate unnecessary repairs by doing proper preventative maintenance
- Correct usage of measurement and test equipment
- Ensure that product quality standards are maintained throughout each manufacturing process
- Report all quality issues to Supervisor or Manufacturing Manager
- Follow the production schedule/plan of the Supervisor
- Accurate analysis of product drawings
- Maintain a general understanding of department equipment and related tooling
- Promote and maintain a clean work environment consistent with 5S practices
Skills & Experience Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
- 1-3 months related experience and/or training preferred
- Mechanical background preferred
- Ability to read product drawings
- Ability to use measurement and test equipment (e.g. micrometer, calipers, optical comparator, etc.)
- Ability to communicate professionally and effectively
- Attention to detail
- Willingness to learn and commit to quality, safety, & environmental standards
