Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Male Live-In Caregiver to provide exceptional support and care for individuals requiring assistance with daily living activities. Duties
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Monitor residents’ vital signs and overall health status regularly, reporting any concerns promptly
- Administer medications accurately following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure compliance and safety
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs, including special diets for medical conditions like Alzheimer's or dementia
- Conduct patient observation to detect changes in behavior or health, ensuring timely intervention when necessary
- Support residents with mobility using assistive devices such as Hoyer lifts or resident lifts to prevent injury during transfers
- Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment by performing light housekeeping tasks including cleaning and laundry
Requirements
- Proven experience in home & community care, assisted living, nursing homes, or group home settings
- Knowledge of patient care techniques including CPR, first aid, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), Alzheimer’s disease, or dementia care
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate mobility aids like Hoyer lifts or resident lifts as needed
- Strong observational skills for patient monitoring and recognizing changes in condition or behavior
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and maintaining confidentiality of patient information
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with healthcare teams and family members
- Flexibility to work in a live-in setting with a commitment to providing consistent 24/7 support
