Software Engineer/Developer (m/f/d)
TOPTICA Photonics, Inc. is the North American subsidiary of TOPTICA Photonics, SE, a global manufacturer of high-performance laser systems used in demanding applications in science and industry. We are seeking a qualified Software Developer to work with cross-functional teams across a wide range of projects. This role will interface with nearly all functions of the company including R&D, Operations, Accounting, and Sales and Marketing. This position will challenge candidates with tasks in product and controls software, automation, business and finance analytics.

Key Job Responsibilities
- Software development for wide-ranging needs across our manufacturing organization
- Develop and maintain company dashboards for KPI tracking
- Consistent code documentation and control
- Collaboration with cross-functional teams to define scope of projects
- Delivery and maintenance of software systems
- Software development experience
- Must have experience with customer-facing software interfaces (Front end)
- Strong Python skills
- Code maintenance and version control
- Instrument interfacing and communication
- Interfacing electronics and systems
- Motion control and automation
- FPGA and embedded systems development
- Data mining for business analytics, Qlik sense and / or Power BI familiarity a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in software engineering or related technical field
- 2 - 3 years of relatable experience
