You will work in a 19-bed unit with ratios of 1-2:1, caring for diverse, high-acuity patients. The team values integrity, collaboration, and a welcoming culture for all staff and travelers.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert labor and delivery nursing care in a fast-paced unit
- Maintain strict clinical documentation using Epic EMR
- Float to sister facilities as required (travelers float first)
- Participate in on-call rotation (12 hours per 6-week period)
- Adhere to hospital and staffing agency standards
- Active Florida RN license
- Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience and prior travel/contract role
- BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications (AHA required)
- AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring completed and passed
- AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring/EFM Certification preferred
- High comfort level with high-acuity L&D patients
- Degree accreditation on profile OR 5 years of RN experience required
- Must comply with 50-mile radius rule
- All time-off requests must be declared at application
- Unit Type: Labor & Delivery, 19 beds
- Shift: 12hr nights, deferred schedule
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Floating: Yes, to other sister campuses as needed
- On Call: Required
- Block Scheduling: Not available
- Hard onboarding document deadline: Monday prior to start
- No holiday RTO available
