Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to medical-surgical and telemetry patients, including complex and high-acuity cases.
- Monitor cardiac rhythms, vital signs, labs, and patient responses to treatments.
- Administer medications and therapies safely, following provider orders and hospital protocols.
- Perform thorough assessments and document all care accurately within EPIC EMR.
- Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes.
- Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans.
- Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and follow emergency and critical care procedures.
- Maintain safety, infection control, and quality standards at all times.
- Current valid Registered Nurse (RN) license, verified through NURSYS (Active KY or Compact RN License).
- Minimum 2 years of recent Medical-Surgical / Telemetry experience.
- Previous travel RN experience highly preferred.
- BLS, ACLS, NIHSS EKG required.
- Experience and proficiency with EPIC EMR.
- Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and time management skills.
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled and function effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Locals accepted for this assignment.
