SAP Finance (FI/CO), Funds Management (FM), and Project Systems (PS) SME – Remote/Hybrid – Local to Middletown, PA
Description:
Client is seeking an experienced SAP FI/CO, Funds Management (FM), and Project Systems (PS) SME to support ongoing ECC 6.0 operations and the S/4HANA SMART modernization program. This role is currently remote but will move to a hybrid model. Only candidates residing within 1.5 hours of Middletown, PA will be considered.
Responsibilities:
• Serve as SME for SAP Finance, Funds Management, and Project Systems in ECC 6.0 and S/4HANA
• Act as IT point of contact for FI/CO, FM, and PS initiatives
• Provide configuration, development, testing, and support across SAP financial systems
• Map As-Is business processes to S/4HANA To-Be processes
• Support enhancements, reporting improvements, and cross-module integrations
• Perform data profiling, cleansing, reconciliation, and validations
• Create and update functional/technical design documents, testing scripts, training materials
• Support SIT, UAT, cutover, go-live, and hypercare phases
• Troubleshoot issues in ECC and S/4HANA environments
• Assist with SAP process documentation and change-management best practices
Minimum Requirements:
• 10 years configuring and supporting SAP ECC 6.0 & S/4HANA FI/CO, FM, and PS
• 2 full lifecycle S/4HANA implementations
• Strong expertise in Finance & Controlling, Funds Management, and Project Systems
• Experience with SAP month-end/year-end financial processes
• Experience leading process discovery and design workshops
• Strong understanding of end-to-end business, data, and transaction flows
• Hands-on experience creating functional/technical design documents and testing materials
• Experience developing training documents, job aids, and process documents
• Understanding of public-sector financial policies and regulations
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, IT, or related field
Desired Skills:
• Real-time and batch integrations between SAP ECC and S/4HANA
• Banking and payment integrations (ACH, checks, digital payments)
• Integration with external systems and Microsoft Dynamics
• ServiceNow and Azure DevOps (ADO) experience
• Experience with ECC → S/4HANA migrations (brownfield or cloud)
• Fiori enablement and migration support
• Hands-on testing and scenario writing in ADO
• S/4HANA FI, FM, and PS certifications (highly preferred)
Engagement Requirements:
• Must live within 1.5 hours of Middletown, PA (no exceptions)
• Remote until further notice; onsite required for key milestones (PI cycles, SIT, UAT, Go-Live, Hypercare)
• Must pick up PTC equipment onsite (no travel reimbursement)
• Must pass ePATCH and national criminal background checks
• Must comply with PTC virtual-work and IT standards (camera on in meetings, professional conduct)
