Topsham Tractor is expanding our service team, and we’re looking for a skilled, dependable Diesel Technician who knows their way around tractors, diesel engines, and modern Tier‑4 systems. You’ll diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of equipment—while working alongside a tight‑knit team that values accuracy, communication, and doing the job right the first time.

Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and drivetrains on compact and utility tractors.
- Perform routine maintenance including fluid changes, filters, adjustments, and inspections.
- Troubleshoot Tier‑4 emissions systems (DPF, DEF, sensors, regen issues).
- Complete work orders accurately, documenting labor, parts, and findings.
- Collaborate with the Service Writer and other technicians to ensure efficient workflow.
- Prepare equipment for delivery, including setup, testing, and final inspection.
- Communicate clearly with customers when needed to explain repairs or recommendations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Assist with warranty diagnostics, photos, and required documentation.
- What We’re Looking For
- Strong mechanical aptitude with diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
- Experience with agricultural, construction, or heavy equipment preferred.
- Ability to read service manuals, wiring diagrams, and diagnostic reports.
- Dependable, organized, and able to manage multiple jobs without losing accuracy.
- Team‑oriented mindset—willing to help others and share knowledge.
- Comfort using diagnostic tools, scan equipment, and laptop‑based service software.
- Ability to safely operate tractors, loaders, and attachments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Diesel or equipment technician experience.
- Familiarity with Kioti, LS Tractor, or similar brands.
- Understanding of Tier‑4 emissions systems and regen processes.
- Valid driver’s license; CDL is a plus but not required.
- Certifications in diesel technology or equipment repair are a bonus.
Pay: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour
