Tops Bar-B-Q is on a mission to serve mouthwatering, flavor full BBQ that makes people stop in their tracks and follow the smell to our food truck. This is a hands-on position where you will prepare delicious food, serve customers, operate the cash register, and help keep our food truck clean and running smoothly.
We’re looking for Cooks/Cashiers who can take the wheel and run the day-to-day operations of our food truck, from firing up the generator to serving hungry crowds with a smile. If you can handle a grill, bring positive energy wherever you go, we want you on our team!
Cashier Responsibilities
- Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Accurately take customer orders and answer questions about menu items.
- Process cash, credit/debit card, and other approved forms of payment.
- Accurately handle and account for cash and register transactions.
- Provide customers with accurate change and receipts.
- Assemble and serve customer orders promptly and accurately.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude during busy periods.
- Resolve basic customer concerns
Cooking & Food Preparation
- Prepare food according to company recipes, procedures, and quality standards.
- Operate grills, fryers, warmers, and other food-service equipment safely.
- Prepare ingredients, portion food, and maintain proper food presentation.
- Monitor food temperatures and follow proper food safety procedures.
- Maintain appropriate food quantities throughout service.
- Properly store and label food products.
- Minimize food waste while maintaining product quality.
Cleaning & Sanitation
- Keep the food truck, cooking equipment, serving areas, and workstations clean and organized.
- Clean and sanitize food-contact surfaces throughout the shift.
- Follow proper handwashing and food-handling procedures.
- Remove trash and maintain a clean service area.
- Assist with opening and closing cleaning duties.
- Follow all health department, safety, and company sanitation requirements.
