What are the responsibilities and job description for the Welder position at Topper Industries?
We are seeking an aluminum Welder to fabricate gangways, docks, and bridges in a shop-based environment. This role works independently and in team settings on assigned projects, applying aluminum welding, fitting, and blueprint interpretation skills to produce quality fabricated components.
Responsibilities
- Interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings.
- Perform aluminum welding on gangways, docks, and bridges.
- Fit and align components for fabrication and repair.
- Complete independent welding assignments in a shop-based environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2 years of aluminum welding experience.
- Experience with MIG and TIG welding.
- Blueprint reading skills.
- Knowledge of weld inspection and metal fabrication.
- Understanding of welding safety practices.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Currently running multiple shifts and overtime
M-F 6:00am - 2:30pm
M-F 2:00pm-10:30pm
Must pass a math and weld test
