ECEAP LEAD TEACHER
(EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION AND ASSISTANCE PROGRAM)
NON-CERTIFICATED
3-YEAR-OLD CLASSROOM
8 HOURS PER DAY
ANTICIPATED START DATE: TBD
QUALIFICATIONS:
- AA in Early Childhood Education or an AA in a related field and coursework equivalent to a major relating to early childhood education. Candidates who do not meet the ECEAP qualifications would need to be on a Professional Development Plan (PDP) to meet these qualifications within five (5) years of hire in role.
- Working experience in ECEAP or Head Start Programs - PREFERRED
- Completion of two years or more of direct preschool teaching work experience within the past five years. PREFERRED
- Valid driver's license and have reliable transportation and required auto insurance.
- Ability to adapt curriculum to meet the needs of all children including at risk, special needs, gifted, and culturally diverse populations.
- Ability to apply Early Childhood Development theory in daily classroom activities, and adapt to the individual needs of children.
- Demonstrated effective oral and written communication skills, ability to work very closely with other team members, ability to grasp a team-centered approach to delivery of services for children and families
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) - PREFERRED
- Have current First Aid/CPR card, Food Handler's card and HIV Certificate or be willing to obtain within 60 days of employment.
- Demonstrated effective oral and written communication skills, ability to provide leadership to team members, ability to grasp a team-centered approach to delivery of services for children and families.
- Assigning, instructing, directing, coaching, checking and giving feedback to classroom staff.
- Basic computer proficiency - PREFERRED
RCW 49.58.110 REQUIREMENTS
Yearly Salary Range: $26.06 - $30.22 per hour (Depending on Experience & Education)
