Shift Supervisor

Job Description

While reporting to the Production Manager, as the Shift Supervisor you will provide leadership in safety, productivity, quality, cost performance and employee relations in a high-performance work team environment. We are seeking a high potential candidate with the desire for a significant level of responsibility, who will have a major impact on the plant with opportunity to develop and grow in their career.

What You'll Be Doing

• You will ensure the safety of all employees by leading a comprehensive safety program to prevent injuries, comply with all safety and environmental regulations (SOHA, EPA. Etc.)
• You will be knowledgeable of a lean, continuous improvement environment.
• You will hire, train, direct and mentor employees on your shift.
• You will be responsible for the EI (energy isolation) program and champion the EI safety team for your Shift.
• You will development subordinates through education, training and teamwork.
• You will build and maintain productive employee relationships, driving employee satisfaction. Providing coaching or discipline as needed.
• You will promote a culture in which production and maintenance work together to identify and resolve degraded equipment condition that could negatively impact safety, quality or productivity.

This position is located at our Edinburgh, IN plant and 100% onsite

We’d Love To Hear From You If

• We expect you to have a minimum of 3 years manufacturing experience and at least 2 years of experience managing a team
• Four-year degree high desired; in Engineering, or equivalent experience with hands on mechanical aptitude.
• We expect you to have a passion for Safety, Continuous Improvement and Lean.
• Experience working with flexible packaging highly preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
