- 3rd Shift | Monday – Friday | 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Summary Description
Reporting directly to the Department Supervisor, the Press Make Ready Technician is responsible for cleaning, preparing, and staging press components safely and efficiently to support printing operations and production flow.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Collaborate closely with other departments and teams
- Prepare printing press parts by cleaning, wiping, and washing components
- Pull, sort, and place materials on racks, shelves, or bins according to organizational standards
- Open bales, crates, and containers as needed
- Troubleshoot issues and make quick decisions during setup activities
- Make basic process adjustments and monitor product quality
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area
- Perform duties assigned by supervisor or manager
- Support company quality and safety policies
- Assist other departments as needed
- Wear required PPE at all times
- Previous packing or warehousing experience is helpful
- You have a strong work ethic and urgency to complete tasks
- You have strong written and verbal communication skills
- You can work independently and manage multiple priorities
- You understand product quality requirements
- You are reliable, proactive, and quality focused
- You can lift up to 50 pounds as needed
- You work effectively in a fast-paced team environment
- You can read and understand manufacturing instructions
- You can perform repetitive duties, including stairs and standing for long periods
- You can work quickly while maintaining strong craftsmanship
- High school diploma or GED required
- Vision and sense of touch required
- Ability to wear PPE including hearing protection, safety glasses, gloves, and hair net
