Summary Description:
While reporting to the Plant HR Manager, you will be responsible for full-cycle recruiting for hourly associates. As a talent business partner, you will hire top talent from our candidates’ pool, gain competitive advantage and fuel the company’s growth through hiring quality talent. Working in partnership with plant hiring managers, you will plan, attract, screen, select and onboard qualified employees. You will proactively recruit for qualified candidates and maintain an active pipeline through a variety of resources, including social media, internet job boards, and industry.
Along with these efforts this role will have active community involvement to align to the mission of being “the employer of choice” in the communities in which we operate.
What you’ll be doing:
- You will establish and cultivate relationships with hiring managers to understand the function and business need for current openings and define the interview and selection process, as well as create job descriptions that accurately reflect position requirements
- You will support community engagement activities.
- You will work with local leadership on marketing and branding to enhance the presence of TOPPAN in the community
- You will lead human capital-related projects as assigned and be a member of the Continuous Skills Development Pillar
- You will provide status reports on open positions to the Talent Acquisition team and plant leadership.
- You will ensure all activities are performed in accordance with the Company’s Mission, Vision, and Values, and in compliance with the Company’s policies, procedures, and Code of Ethical Business Conduct
- The primary functions of the role will be recruiting and retention of semi and skilled hourly associates.
- Conduct employee orientations. Processes all other paperwork involved in the hiring process. Follow up and ensure appropriate paperwork is on file
- Office-related administration, including personnel files and paperwork.
This is an onsite position located out of Elk Grove Village, IL Facility
We’d love to hear from you if:
- A Bachelor’s in Business, Human Resources, or related field is preferred.
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in corporate recruiting, ideally with manufacturing company.
- Experience with online recruitment tools including online job boards and web-based ATS is required
- Experience working with Workday is highly preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Experience with AAP compliance
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, including the ability to perform root cause analysis
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment is required
- Ability to work with a flexible schedule to accommodate interviews and phone screens
- Ability to handle deadline-driven tasks
- Experience working in MS Word applications (Word, Excel, Teams).
